Psycled (hereinafter "App" or "We") prioritizes the privacy and personal information of our users worldwide.
This policy explains how we collect, use, share, transfer internationally, and protect personal information when providing services to users worldwide.
1. Information We Collect and How We Collect It
We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide our services.
- Account Information: Email address, name (or nickname), social login identifiers (Google, Apple).
- Service Usage Data: 'Diary data (text, etc.)' written and saved by the user within the App.
- Device and Log Information: IP address, device identifiers, operating system (OS) version, access times and time zone, and service usage logs.
- Payment and Subscription Information: In-app purchases are processed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. We use RevenueCat solely to verify subscription status (e.g., active status, receipt identifiers). We do not directly collect or store sensitive financial information (e.g., credit card numbers).
2. Purpose of Use and Legal Basis
We process personal information for the following purposes, based on lawful grounds required by global standards (including GDPR):
- Service Provision and Contract Performance (Legal Basis: Performance of a Contract): Account creation, user authentication, diary saving, and archive functions. Verifying purchases/subscriptions and providing premium services.
- AI Analysis Features (Legal Basis: Explicit Consent or Performance of a Contract): Securely transmitting the user's diary data to artificial intelligence models (e.g., OpenAI) to derive psychological/emotional analysis and provide personalized feedback.
- Service Improvement and Security (Legal Basis: Legitimate Interest): Improving app performance, fixing errors, preventing unauthorized access, and protecting accounts.
- Legal Compliance (Legal Basis: Compliance with Legal Obligations): Responding to regulatory requests and resolving disputes according to applicable laws.
3. Third-Party Sharing and International Transfer
To provide global services, your personal information may be transferred to, stored, and processed on servers located outside of your country of residence (e.g., the United States). We apply appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) when transferring data internationally.
- Supabase: Cloud database hosting and authentication (secure data storage).
- OpenAI (or related AI providers): Text-based emotional/psychological analysis of diary entries.
- RevenueCat: In-app purchase and subscription data management.
- Apple / Google: Social login authentication and payment processing.
We do not "sell" or share personal information with external third parties for marketing purposes unless required by law or with the explicit consent of the user.
[Use of De-identified Data] However, we may strictly anonymize or aggregate collected data so that specific individuals cannot be identified by any means. Data processed in this way to be unidentifiable is not considered 'personal information' under applicable laws, and we may freely use or share it for research, market analysis, service improvement, and commercial purposes (including sharing with or selling to third parties).
4. Data Retention and Deletion
We delete personal information without delay once the purpose of collection and use has been achieved.
- When a user deletes their account, all identifiable personal information, including diary data, is permanently deleted from our servers immediately.
- However, if we are required to retain information under applicable national laws (e.g., payment records), it will be safely stored separately for the required period and then deleted.
5. User Rights and How to Exercise Them
We guarantee all users the right to control their personal information. Users may exercise the following rights at any time:
- Access and Correction: You can view or modify your personal information through the 'Settings' or 'My Info' menu within the App.
- Deletion (Right to be Forgotten): You can proceed with account deletion through the 'Delete Account' feature in the App. In this case, all identifiable personal information, including diaries written by the user, will be permanently and immediately deleted from the server.
- Withdrawal of Consent: If you wish to withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal information, you may exercise this right by discontinuing the use of the App and deleting your account.
6. Children's Privacy
Our services are not intended for children under the age of 13 (or 16, depending on the country of residence), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without the consent of a parent or legal guardian, we will take appropriate steps to delete such information immediately.
7. Security Measures
We implement technical and administrative security measures that meet global standards to protect personal information.
- Minimizing database access rights and applying robust authentication systems.
- Isolating and storing data within a trusted global cloud service (Supabase) environment.
8. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies (including browser local storage) to operate and improve our services.
- Strictly Necessary Storage: We store your language preference (e.g., Korean or English) in your browser so the website can display content in your selected language on future visits.
- Purpose: Service functionality and user experience continuity.
- Retention: Stored on your device until you clear browser data or change your preference.
- Control: You can manage or delete cookies/local storage in your browser settings at any time.
If we introduce analytics, advertising, or other non-essential tracking technologies in the future, we will provide additional notice and obtain consent where required by applicable law.
